Learning Outcomes

At the conclusion of this workshop students will:

• Understand how to create High Quality Conversation
• Understand a simple structure for contacting and initiating a conversation with their Peer
• Understand key behaviours associated with effective mentoring and some guidelines for their first ‘mentoring’ conversation
• Understand how to use questions to effectively and respectfully approach new students
• Understand some basic principles for effective communication that can be applied to any situation
• Have had some fun understanding differences with personality preferences and how to be more aware of them to improve their communication
